Diane von Furstenberg, Spring 2012 RTW
looking over style.com and the latest fashion shows and decided to see what ms. furstenberg had up her sleeves for next spring.

color. she has it. and i love it.
the show seemed to start out with stark whites (which i also adore) then kind of phase through many different contrasting shades and hues of color mixed with grey (and i really love grey). there were also quite a few fantastic blazers and a variety of other separates.

white after labor day
remember those old rules "don't mix patterns" and "shoes and handbag must match" and "only wear white between easter and labor day"?
yeah, i think everyone's gathered by now that those are thrown out the window.
but i also think that this year the fashion forward community as a whole is going out of their way to specifically wear white after labor day.
after all, we always have been the ones that try to go against the flow, right?
it's easy to be convinced looking at these great white fall/winter looks:

"the help" fashion
finally went and saw the help with my very good friend lauren. after reading the book in two days, i am happy to say that the movie was also fantastic.
especially the costumes. i would definitely wear almost everything emma stone was dressed in. they inspired me.
here are some clothes from the movie... via imdb and hollywood movie costumes & props.

absolutely amazing. i wish i could have found better pictures... the one shirt dress emma wore that was sleeveless and blue was to die for!
here are some very affordable alternatives for your (and possibly my) wardrobe:
